Overview
VibeFox Australia Post adds an Australia Post carrier to PrestaShop for shops that send parcels from Australia. Customers choose Australia Post at the shipping step of checkout and pay a fixed price per country or a live Australia Post rate for their parcel.
It suits Australian shops that post parcels within Australia and abroad. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create labels, eParcel or MyPost Business shipments or manifests, track parcels, let customers choose parcel lockers or Post Offices, or split the cart into several parcels.
Key features
Three pricing modes: fixed prices per country (no API key needed), live rates from the Australia Post Postage Assessment Calculator (PAC) API, or live rates that fall back to fixed prices when the API gives no rate.
Domestic and international services: Parcel Post or Express Post within Australia; International Standard, Express or Courier abroad.
Correct parcel: product weights and dimensions are converted from your shop units to kg and cm. Defaults are used for products without weight or dimensions.
Currency and GST: AUD prices are converted with your conversion rate, or not used without it. Optional GST removal for domestic prices, so GST is not charged twice. The price is shown in the customer's cart currency.
Fast checkout: successful rates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. API errors never reach the customer.
Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an amount, per-order or per-item fixed prices, tax status.
Standard PrestaShop carrier: the carrier is created on install. Zones, customer groups and size limits are managed in Shipping > Carriers as usual, or you can ignore zones and use a list of countries.
Debug log in the back office: view and clear the log on the module page. The API key and customer postcodes are not logged.
Requirements
PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need a free Australia Post PAC API key. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
