Overview
VibeFox PayU LATAM Payment adds PayU Latam WebCheckout payments to PrestaShop. At the payment step the customer chooses PayU LATAM, is sent to the secure PayU payment page, pays with any method enabled in your PayU account (cards, cash, bank transfers, PSE and other local methods) and comes back to your shop. Card data never touches your site. The order is created only after PayU confirms the payment, so abandoned payments leave no unpaid orders.
It suits shops in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru that sell in ARS, BRL, CLP, COP, MXN, PEN or USD and have a PayU Latam account. The module has no payment form in your shop, no refunds from PrestaShop (refunds are made in the PayU module), no saved cards, no subscriptions and no installments settings (PayU shows installments on its page).
Key features
Paid only when PayU confirms: the order is created only by the signed PayU confirmation sent from server to server. The module checks the signature, your merchant ID and the payment reference it issued for the cart.
Nothing to set up in PayU: the confirmation URL is sent with every payment.
Amount and currency check: a payment that does not match the cart total goes to PayU LATAM payment on hold with a note and is never accepted automatically.
Cash and bank payments: payments that PayU reports as pending, such as cash vouchers, create the order in Awaiting PayU LATAM payment until PayU confirms them.
Clear result for the customer: after a declined or expired payment the customer is back at checkout with the reason and can pay again. The cart is kept.
No double processing: each notification is processed once under a per-cart lock, so PayU retries never create a second order or duplicate notes. A second payment for a paid order is flagged for refund.
Separate sandbox and live credentials: sandbox by default. Each payment attempt remembers its environment, so switching between sandbox and live does not break pending payments.
PayU block on the order page: reference, transaction, status, payment method, all payment attempts of the cart and the module's notes. Optional log without keys or personal data.
