Overview
VibeFox PayU India Payment Gateway adds payments through the PayU India hosted checkout to PrestaShop. At the payment step the customer chooses PayU India, is sent to the PayU payment page, pays by credit or debit card, NetBanking, UPI or a wallet (whatever is enabled on your PayU account) and comes back to your shop. Card and bank data never touch your site. The order is created only after PayU sends a signed result, so abandoned payments leave no unpaid orders.
It suits Indian shops that sell in rupees and want PayU's payment methods without building payment forms on their own site. The module charges in INR only and has no multi-currency processing. It has no saved cards or tokenization, no subscriptions, no on-site card form, no EMI or offer management and no one-click checkout. Refunds are queued at PayU; the module does not track their final status.
Key features
PayU hosted checkout: one payment method PayU India at checkout. The payment request is signed with SHA-512 using your Merchant Key and Salt.
Paid only when PayU confirms: a result is accepted only with a valid PayU reverse hash made with the Salt of the mode in which the payment was started, and only for a transaction ID your shop issued for that cart. The paid amount must equal the cart total to the paisa, in INR.
Server-side verification: optionally (on by default) every successful payment is double-checked with the PayU verify_payment API. If the check fails, the order is put on hold instead of being marked paid.
No double processing: the customer's return and the webhook may arrive together; repeated results never create a second order or record the payment twice. A paid or refunded order is never reopened.
Pending UPI and NetBanking payments: the order waits in Awaiting PayU India payment until the final result arrives.
Separate Test and Live credentials: switching the mode switches both the keys and the PayU endpoints. Refunds always go to the mode of the payment.
Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the PayU India payment block of the order, with the PayU request ID in the refund history. A full refund sets the order to Refunded.
PayU block on the order page: transaction ID, mode, bank, amounts, refund history and the module's notes. Optional webhook for customers who close the browser, log without keys, salts or personal data.
