VibeFox Paymob for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Paymob Pay adds Paymob payments to PrestaShop for shops in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Pakistan. At the payment step the customer chooses Paymob, is sent to the secure Paymob payment page, pays by card, mobile wallet or another method of your Paymob integration and comes back to your shop. Card data never touches your site. The order is created only after Paymob confirms the payment.

It suits shops that sell in the currency of their Paymob country (EGP, AED, SAR, OMR or PKR) and want a hosted payment page. The module takes one-time payments only. It has no refunds from the back office, no saved cards, no subscriptions, no embedded card form on your site and no separate test mode switch: test payments use a Paymob test integration.

Key features

Five Paymob countries: the API and payment page server of your Paymob country is used, and amounts are sent in the minor unit of the currency, including OMR with three decimals.

Paid only when Paymob confirms: the order is created only from a transaction signed with your HMAC secret, from the Paymob server callback or the signed customer return.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency must match the cart. A mismatch puts the order in Paymob payment on hold with a note.

No double processing: repeated callbacks or a callback and a customer return arriving together never create a second order.

Pending and authorized payments: cash or kiosk payments wait in Awaiting Paymob payment, authorizations that are not captured yet wait in Paymob payment on hold, until Paymob confirms the payment.

Payment retries: after a declined payment the customer is back at checkout with the same cart and can pay again. Every attempt gets its own Paymob order.

Paymob block on the order page: Paymob IDs, status, amounts, card and notes.

Log without secrets: errors are always logged; payment steps and callbacks when Debug log is on. Keys, tokens and customer data are never written.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. A Paymob merchant account in Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman or Pakistan with an API key, an integration ID, an iFrame ID and the HMAC secret. The cart currency must be the currency of your Paymob country. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
