VibeFox Ozow for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Ozow Pay adds Ozow instant EFT (Pay by Bank) to PrestaShop for payments in South African rand. At the payment step the customer chooses Ozow, is sent to the hosted Ozow payment page, chooses a South African bank, approves the payment in the banking app and comes back to your shop. Ozow also notifies the shop directly, so the payment is confirmed even if the customer closes the browser. The order is created only after Ozow reports the payment, so abandoned payments leave no unpaid orders.

It suits South African shops that want bank payments without card fees or a card form. The module takes one-time payments in ZAR only. It has no refunds from PrestaShop (refund in the Ozow merchant dashboard), no subscriptions, no saved bank accounts and no payment links sent from the back office.

Key features

Hosted Ozow page: the customer pays on the Ozow page. The payment request for the cart total is signed with your Private Key (Ozow HashCheck, SHA-512).

Paid only when Ozow confirms: an Ozow answer is accepted only if its SHA-512 hash verifies with your Private Key, its Site Code is yours and it belongs to this payment attempt of the cart.

Optional API check: with an API Key, every successful payment is also confirmed with the Ozow GetTransaction API before the order is marked paid.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount in cents and the currency are compared with the cart. A mismatch creates the order in Ozow payment on hold with a note.

No double processing: the notification and the customer return are processed the same way under a per-cart lock, so repeats never create a second order or duplicate notes. A cancelled or refunded order is never re-opened.

Test mode: test payments with the same Site Code and keys; a test payment never pays an order while the module is live. Warnings in the back office, at checkout and in the order messages.

Cancelled payments: a cancelled or failed payment creates no order. The customer returns to the checkout with the same cart and a message to try again.

Ozow block on the order page: transaction reference, Ozow transaction ID, status and amounts. Optional log without keys, hashes or customer data.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Shop currency South African rand (ZAR). An Ozow merchant account with the Site Code and Private Key, and optionally the API Key. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
