VibeFox Hubtel for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Hubtel Pay Gateway adds Hubtel payments in Ghana to PrestaShop. At the payment step the customer chooses Hubtel, is sent to the secure Hubtel Online Checkout page, pays with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, a Visa or Mastercard card or GhQR, and comes back to your shop. The order is created only after Hubtel confirms the payment, so abandoned payments leave no unpaid orders.

It suits Ghanaian shops that sell in Ghana cedis (GHS) and have a Hubtel business account. Hubtel must whitelist the IP address of your web server for its Transaction Status API, and Hubtel has no public test environment, so all payments are real. The module has no refunds from PrestaShop, no subscriptions, no saved cards and no choice of the payment channel inside the shop.

Hosted Hubtel checkout: Mobile Money and card payments on the Hubtel page. The customer chooses the channel there.

Paid only when Hubtel confirms: Hubtel callbacks are not signed, so the module never trusts them. It asks the authenticated Hubtel Transaction Status API and creates the order as paid only when Hubtel reports it as Paid for the exact cart total in GHS.

Amount check: a different amount puts the order in Hubtel payment on hold with a note for the shop manager.

Nothing to set up at Hubtel: the callback URL is sent with every payment.

Lost callbacks covered: the customer's return checks the payment, a cron URL runs background re-checks, and the shop manager can click Check Hubtel payment status on the order page.

No double processing: every payment attempt has its own reference. Repeated callbacks never create a second order or reopen a cancelled or refunded order. A second payment of an already paid cart is flagged for refund.

Cancel on Hubtel: the customer goes back to the checkout with a message and can try again. The cart is kept.

Hubtel block on the order page: all payment attempts of the order with their Hubtel status and transaction, plus the Hubtel notes. Optional log without API keys or customer data.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later with the cURL extension. A Hubtel business account with API ID, API Key and merchant account number (POS Sales ID), and your server IP whitelisted by Hubtel. Shop currency Ghana cedi (GHS). A server cron for the background checks is recommended. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
