VibeFox eWAY for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox eWAY Payment Gateway adds card payments through the eWAY Rapid API Responsive Shared Page to PrestaShop. At the payment step the customer chooses eWAY, is sent to the secure eWAY payment page, pays by card and comes back to your shop. Card data never touches your site. The order is created only after eWAY confirms the payment, so abandoned or declined payments leave no unpaid orders.

It suits shops in Australia, New Zealand and Asia that charge in AUD, NZD, SGD, HKD or MYR and have an eWAY merchant account with Rapid API access. The module takes one-time card payments only, captured immediately. It has no card fields on your site, no saved cards or subscriptions, no separate authorise and capture, and refunds made in MyeWAY are not synced back to PrestaShop.

Key features

Responsive Shared Page: the hosted eWAY payment page for the cart total in the cart currency, sent in the currency's minor units.

Paid only when eWAY confirms: when the customer returns, the module asks eWAY server-to-server for the result of the payment page this cart created. Nothing in the return link is trusted.

Amount and currency check: the approved amount and currency are compared with the cart. A mismatch, such as an approval for a partial amount, puts the order in eWAY payment on hold with a note.

Lost returns are picked up: if the customer pays and closes the browser, an optional cron URL asks eWAY about an hour later and creates the order.

No double processing: repeated returns never create a second order or record the payment twice. A new payment attempt first checks the previous eWAY page, and a second approved payment is flagged for refund.

Sandbox and live: separate API credentials for each mode, with a clear mode badge on the settings page. Payments are checked and refunded in the mode they were made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the eWAY payment block, up to the amount eWAY actually charged. A full refund sets the order to Refunded.

eWAY block on the order page: transaction ID, auth code, response, refund history and the eWAY notes of the order. Optional log without card data, keys or customer e-mails.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. An eWAY merchant account with Rapid API key and password (and an eWAY sandbox account for testing). Shop currency AUD, NZD, SGD, HKD or MYR. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
