VibeFox Datatrans for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Datatrans Gateway adds payments through Datatrans, the Swiss payment service provider, to PrestaShop. At the payment step the customer chooses Datatrans, is sent to the Datatrans payment page, pays with a card, TWINT, PostFinance or any other method enabled in your Datatrans account, and comes back to your shop. Card data never touches your site. The order is created only after Datatrans confirms the payment, so abandoned payments leave no unpaid orders.

It suits shops with a Datatrans merchant account that want a hosted payment page and refunds from the PrestaShop order page. The module takes one-time payments only. It has no saved cards or aliases, subscriptions, Lightbox or Secure Fields integration on your site, choice of payment methods in the settings or partial capture of an authorization.

Key features

Datatrans payment page: a transaction is created for the cart total in the cart currency, with amounts in the right minor unit, including zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW and three-decimal currencies such as KWD and BHD.

Paid only when Datatrans confirms: the order is created after a webhook with a valid signature or after a server-side check of the transaction with Datatrans. The return of the customer alone never creates an order.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Datatrans are compared with the cart, and the transaction must belong to the cart. A mismatch puts the order in Datatrans payment on hold with a note.

No double processing: repeated or parallel webhooks and returns never create a second order. A second successful payment for a paid cart is flagged in the notes as a possible double charge.

Sandbox and production: separate credentials for each environment. Refunds and captures always go to the environment the payment was made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the Datatrans payment block of the order, protected against being credited twice when retried. A full refund sets the order to Refunded.

Authorize now, capture later: optional. The order waits in Datatrans payment on hold until you capture or cancel the payment in the order block.

Datatrans block on the order page: transaction, status, payment method, refund history and notes. Optional log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. A Datatrans merchant account with a merchant ID, a server-to-server API password and, recommended, an HMAC sign key. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
