VibeFox ShipStation for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox ShipStation adds a ShipStation shipping method to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. For the customer's address it asks ShipStation for the rates of the carriers connected to your ShipStation account, such as USPS (Stamps.com), UPS or FedEx, and shows the cheapest one at checkout.

It suits stores that already ship with ShipStation and want real carrier prices at checkout. The extension calculates shipping rates only. It does not buy labels, create ShipStation orders or shipments, track parcels, handle returns or offer pickup points. Customers see one rate, not a choice of services.

Key features

Live carrier rates: rates from ShipStation API V1 for up to 5 carrier codes, with an optional list of allowed service codes and a package code for your own box.

Connection check: saving the settings checks the API key and secret and lists the carrier codes of your account. Wrong keys and unknown carrier codes are reported on the extension page.

Service saved with the order: the chosen service, for example "USPS Ground Advantage - Package", is shown in a ShipStation panel on the admin order page.

Parcels: one parcel per order with the items stacked into one box, or one parcel per item. Weights and dimensions are converted from their OpenCart weight and length classes.

Currency handling: rates come in your ShipStation account currency. With an exchange rate they are converted to your store default currency, otherwise the fallback prices apply. The price is shown in the customer's currency.

Fallback prices: a table by country with a base price and XS–XL prices by parcel weight, plus a price for other countries.

Reliable checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour, failures for 10 minutes, and requests pause after key, rate-limit or network errors. Customers never see ShipStation errors.

Shipping rules and a clear settings page: geo zone or a list of countries, free shipping from a subtotal, minimum subtotal, weight limits, tax class. Sections with one Save button, JSON import and export, and a debug log you can view in the admin. Invalid numbers are reported when you save.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A ShipStation account with connected carriers and API access (API Key and API Secret, depending on your ShipStation plan). Without keys, only the fallback prices are used. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
