Overview
VibeFox Purolator adds a Purolator shipping method to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 for parcels sent from Canada: within Canada, to the USA and abroad. Customers see one Purolator price at checkout, a live rate from the Purolator E-Ship Estimating web service or a fixed price per country and cart weight.
It suits Canadian stores that ship with a Purolator account. Fixed prices work without API keys and are also the fallback when Purolator gives no rate. The extension calculates shipping rates only. It does not create Purolator shipments, print labels, book pickups, handle returns or track parcels.
Key features
Live Purolator rates: a Quick Estimate for the total cart weight with the rates of your billing account, in the development or production environment.
Service choice: a service for Canada, for the USA and for international parcels (Ground, Express, time-definite and evening services), or the cheapest available one.
Fixed prices and fallback: prices per country and weight class (XS to XL), a default row for all other countries and a fallback price, per order or per item. They are used without API keys or when Purolator gives no rate.
Taxes and currency: optionally remove Canadian sales taxes (GST/HST/PST/QST) from the Purolator total, and convert CAD to your store currency with your own rate.
Service saved with the order: for an order with a live rate, the admin order page shows the Purolator service and the rate.
Shipping rules: geo zone or a list of countries, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, tax class.
Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. API errors never reach the customer.
Clear settings page: sections with one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export and a debug log in the admin.
Requirements
OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live rates need Purolator E-Ship Web Services keys, a Purolator billing account and a Canadian ship-from postal code. Fixed prices work without them. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
