VibeFox PostNord for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox PostNord adds PostNord delivery to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. Customers choose delivery to a PostNord service point and pick the point at checkout, or, if you turn it on, PostNord home delivery as a second option. Prices come from your own table per country and cart weight.

It suits Nordic stores that ship with a PostNord customer agreement, for example MyPack Collect and MyPack Home. PostNord has no public price API, so the extension does not request live prices. It does not create shipping labels, book shipments, provide tracking or show a map of service points.

Key features

Service point picker: the 10 service points nearest to the delivery postcode come from the PostNord Business Location API and are shown under the service point option, grouped by city with the distance.

Never blocks a sale: when the list is available a point is required and checked on the server. Without an API key, during a PostNord outage or without points nearby, the order can still be placed and PostNord delivers to the service point nearest to the address.

Point saved with the order: the point name, address and ID are added to the shipping method of the order, so they appear on the order pages, in the order e-mails and on the invoice. The admin order page shows a PostNord service point panel.

Two delivery options: service point and home delivery, each with its own name at checkout and the same prices.

Your own prices: a price per country and weight class (XS to XL), a row for all other countries and a fallback cost, per order or per item, in the store default currency.

Shipping rules: free shipping from a cart subtotal, minimum subtotal, minimum and maximum cart weight, tax class, geo zone or a list of countries.

Fast checkout: service point lists are cached for up to 6 hours, and the delivery step never waits for PostNord.

Clear settings page: sections with one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export, PostNord test environment and a debug log in the admin.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A free PostNord developer API key for the service point picker (the extension works without it, but customers cannot pick a point). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
