VibeFox PostNL for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox PostNL adds PostNL delivery to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 as two options of one shipping method: PostNL pickup point, where the customer picks one of the nearest PostNL points at checkout, and PostNL for delivery to the home address. Prices come from your own table per country and weight class.

It suits stores in the Netherlands and Belgium that ship with PostNL. Pickup points are offered for Dutch and Belgian addresses, home delivery for every country you set a price for. PostNL has no public rate API, so the extension does not request live rates. It does not create shipping labels, barcodes, track and trace, returns or delivery-day options.

Key features

PostNL pickup points: the three nearest PostNL points for the delivery address are loaded from the PostNL Checkout API and shown in a list under the pickup point option at the delivery method step.

Checked on the server: the customer cannot continue without a point, and the point is checked against PostNL's list for the delivery address. Name and address come from PostNL.

Point saved with the order: the point is added to the shipping method of the order, so it appears on the order pages, in the order e-mails and on the invoice. The admin order page shows a panel with the location code and partner ID.

Two options, one extension: switch pickup point and home delivery on or off separately, each with its own name at checkout.

Your own prices: a price per country with weight classes (XS to XL), a row for all other countries and a price for other countries, per order or per item, in the store default currency.

Shipping rules: free shipping from a cart subtotal, minimum subtotal, minimum and maximum cart weight, tax class, geo zone. A decimal comma is accepted.

Safe checkout: if PostNL cannot be reached or has no points, only the pickup point option is hidden. Errors are cached for 10 minutes, and the last error is shown on the extension page.

Clear settings page: sections with one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export, PostNL sandbox and a debug log in the admin.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Pickup points need a PostNL business account with an API key. Home delivery works without it. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
