VibeFox Mercado Envios for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Mercado Envios adds a Mercado Envios shipping method to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 for stores in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. It shows a live rate from the Mercado Envios calculator of your Mercado Pago account at the delivery method step of checkout. Prices per country and weight are used when there is no live rate.

It suits stores that sell with Mercado Pago and have Mercado Envios enabled for their account. The extension calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, print labels or track parcels, it shows one price (the cheapest option) rather than a choice between all options, and it has no pickup point selector.

Key features

Live Mercado Envios rates: the cart is sent as one parcel with the destination postcode, dimensions and weight, and the cheapest Mercado Envios option is used.

Argentina, Brazil and Mexico: rates in ARS, BRL or MXN. Postcodes are normalised, and parcel sides and weight are raised to the Mercado Envios minimums of the country.

Safe currency handling: if your store default currency differs from the Mercado Envios currency, set an exchange rate. Without it, live rates are not used and the extension page warns about it, so pesos are never charged as euros or dollars.

Prices without live rates: a table of prices per destination country with weight tiers XS to XL, and a fallback cost.

Fast checkout: requests time out after 10 seconds, quotes are cached for up to 1 hour, and a failed request is not repeated for 5 minutes. The last API error is shown on the extension page.

Service on the order: for orders placed with a live rate, the service name and the estimated delivery time are shown on the admin order page, on the customer's order page and in the new order e-mail.

Shipping rules: per order or per item prices, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, tax class, geo zone or a list of countries.

Clear settings page: sections for the API, prices, availability and free shipping, one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export, and a debug log viewer.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live rates need a Mercado Pago account in Argentina, Brazil or Mexico with Mercado Envios enabled, and its production Access Token. Prices per country work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
