VibeFox Instabee for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Instabee adds an Instabee / Budbee parcel box shipping method to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. Customers see it at the delivery method step of checkout with your own fixed price for their country and cart weight, and can choose a parcel box near their postal code.

It suits stores that deliver to Budbee Box parcel lockers in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium. Instabee and Budbee do not publish a rate API, so prices come from your price table. The extension does not book shipments, print labels, give tracking numbers or offer Budbee Home delivery slots.

Key features

Prices by country and weight: a price per destination country with optional weight tiers (XS up to 1 kg, S up to 2 kg, M up to 3 kg, L up to 5 kg, XL above 5 kg), a * Any other country row and a fallback cost. Per order or per item.

Parcel box selection: with Budbee API credentials the customer sees the boxes near the postal code of the delivery address, sorted by distance, and can search another postal code.

Checked on the server: the box is required and is checked against the Budbee list when the customer continues from the delivery method step and again when the order is created.

Box on the order: the chosen box is added to the shipping method of the order, so it appears in the customer's order history, the order e-mails and the invoice. The admin order page shows a parcel box panel with the box ID.

Fast and safe checkout: box lists are cached (12 hours per postal code, 5 minutes after a failed request). If the Budbee API cannot be reached, the order can still be placed and is flagged so you can choose the box later.

Shipping rules: geo zone or a list of countries, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, tax class. Decimal comma or point in all price fields.

Clear settings page: one Save button without page reload, warnings about missing credentials, missing prices and the last Budbee API error, and JSON import and export of the settings.

Debug log in the admin: view and clear the log on the extension page. API keys and customer data are never logged.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Fixed prices work without an API account. Parcel box selection needs Budbee API credentials from Instabee (issued to merchants with a delivery agreement). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
