VibeFox iMile for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox iMile adds an iMile shipping method to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. Customers choose iMile at the delivery method step of checkout and pay a price from your iMile tariff, entered as a table by destination country and weight, or a live delivery cost estimate from the iMile API.

It suits stores that deliver with iMile in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Mexico and other iMile markets. The extension calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create iMile shipments, print AWB labels, request pickups, track parcels or offer pickup points.

Key features

Price table by country and weight: a base price plus optional prices for five weight tiers (XS up to 1 kg, S up to 2 kg, M up to 3 kg, L up to 5 kg, XL over 5 kg), a * All other countries row and an optional price for countries not in the table.

Optional live estimate: with your iMile Customer ID and Secret key, the extension asks iMile for the delivery cost by ship-from and destination city, cart weight, size and value. The price table is always the fallback.

Currency conversion: iMile estimates in the currency of the destination country (AED, SAR, MXN and others). Your exchange rates convert it to the store default currency. An estimate without a rate is never used. The price is then shown in the customer's currency.

Per order or per item: one parcel for the whole cart, or every item as a separate parcel priced by its own weight.

Fast checkout: estimates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 5 minutes. After a timeout or rejected keys iMile is not asked for a few minutes. Errors never reach the customer.

Shipping rules: geo zone, allowed destination countries, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, tax class.

Clear settings page: sections for general settings, live rates, prices, conditions and countries, one Save button without page reload, warnings when the live estimate cannot work, and JSON import and export of the settings.

Debug log in the admin: view and clear the log on the extension page. No keys and no customer addresses are logged.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Your iMile tariff for the price table. The live estimate needs an iMile API account (Customer ID and Secret key). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
