VibeFox GIG Logistics for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox GIG Logistics adds a GIG Logistics (GIGL) courier shipping method for Nigeria to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. With GIG Logistics API credentials, the customer gets a live GIG price for a Nigerian delivery address. Without them, or for other countries, the price comes from your own table of prices per country and cart weight, or from a fallback cost.

It suits stores that ship in Nigeria with GIG Logistics, and stores that want simple fixed courier prices. The extension calculates shipping prices at checkout. It does not create GIG Logistics shipments or waybills, print labels, book pickups or track parcels.

Key features

Live GIG prices: the extension logs in to the GIG Logistics API and requests the price for the pickup and delivery addresses and the cart items. A test mode uses the GIG Logistics test API.

Address coordinates: GIG Logistics prices by distance. The extension can look up map coordinates of the pickup and delivery addresses with OpenStreetMap (Nominatim), or you enter the pickup coordinates yourself.

Nigerian states ready: OpenCart already has the 37 Nigerian states. The extension recognises the delivery state by its code or name and sends it to GIG Logistics.

Price table and fallback: a base price per country, optional weight tier prices (XS up to 1 kg to XL above 5 kg) and a fallback cost, per order or per item.

Safe currency handling: GIG Logistics returns prices in NGN. If your default currency is not NGN, you enter a conversion rate; without it live prices are not used. The price is shown in the customer's currency.

Fast checkout: prices are cached for 1 hour, failed requests for 10 minutes, the API login for 30 minutes and address coordinates for 30 days. API errors never reach the customer.

Shipping rules: geo zone or a country list, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, tax class.

Clear settings page: sections for the API, pickup address, prices and conditions, one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export, and a debug log you can view and clear on the extension page.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live prices need GIG Logistics third-party API credentials. The price table works without them. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
