Overview
VibeFox Frenet adds a Frenet shipping method for Brazil to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. Frenet is a Brazilian freight gateway: one account and one API token give you quotes from Correios, Jadlog, Loggi and the other carriers you enable in the Frenet panel. For an address in Brazil the extension sends the cart to Frenet and shows one price, the cheapest or the fastest service. Fixed prices are used when there is no live quote.
It suits Brazilian stores with a Frenet account, and stores that also sell abroad with fixed prices. The extension calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, print labels or track parcels, does not show several Frenet services at once and has no pickup points or lockers. Frenet quotes within Brazil only.
Key features
Live Frenet quote: the cart items (weight, dimensions, quantity), the order value and the origin CEP are sent to Frenet. The customer sees one price: the cheapest or the fastest service, as you choose.
Service in the order: the Frenet carrier, service, delivery time and price source are saved with the order and shown in a Frenet block on the admin order page.
Fixed prices by country and cart size: a price per country, optionally by cart weight (XS up to 1 kg to XL above 5 kg), and a fallback cost. Used without a token, outside Brazil and whenever Frenet returns no price.
Safe currency handling: Frenet always quotes in Brazilian reais. If your default currency is not BRL, you enter the BRL exchange rate. Without it live quotes are not used. The price is shown in the customer's currency.
Fast checkout: quotes are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. API errors never reach the customer.
Shipping rules: geo zone or a country list, minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, per-order or per-item fixed prices, tax class.
Clear settings page: sections for live quotes, fixed prices, conditions and availability, one Save button without page reload, and JSON import and export of the settings.
Debug log in the admin: view and clear the log on the extension page. The token is never logged.
Requirements
OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live quotes need a free Frenet account with enabled carriers and its API token. Fixed prices work without an account. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
