VibeFox DPD Pickup for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox DPD Pickup adds delivery to DPD Pickup points and parcel lockers as a shipping method for OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. The customer chooses a city and then a pickup point under the method at the delivery method step of checkout, and the point is saved in the order.

It suits stores in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Slovakia that ship with DPD. Pickup points come from the DPD Baltic web service or the public DPD Slovakia parcelshop search. Shipping prices are fixed prices you enter. The extension does not request DPD prices, create shipments, print labels or track parcels.

Key features

Pickup point selector: city first, then the pickup point, with the city of the customer's address pre-selected. The customer cannot continue to payment without a pickup point.

DPD Baltic and DPD Slovakia: one DPD Baltic account lists the pickup points of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. DPD Slovakia needs no credentials and lists the points within 50 km of the customer's city and postcode.

Safe validation: the server checks that the chosen point belongs to the customer's address, and the name saved in the order comes from DPD.

Never stuck at checkout: the method is hidden when DPD returns no pickup point or cannot be reached. Lists are cached, and a failed request is remembered for 5 minutes, so a DPD outage does not slow down the checkout.

Point in the order: added to the shipping method of the order, so it appears in the admin order, the customer's order history, the order e-mails and the invoice. The admin order page has a DPD pickup point panel with Edit to change it.

Simple prices: a fixed price per country and an optional fallback price, per order or per item, free shipping from a subtotal, tax class.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight (31.5 kg by default), minimum subtotal, a geo zone or a country list.

Clear settings page: sections with one Save button, a Refresh pickup points connection check, JSON import and export, and a debug log viewer.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. For Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia: DPD Baltic API username and password, issued by DPD to business customers. DPD Slovakia needs no credentials. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
