VibeFox bpost Cubee for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox bpost Cubee adds a shipping method for bpost parcel lockers (bbox, formerly Cubee) and bpost pickup points in Belgium to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. Customers choose the method at the delivery method step of checkout, pay your fixed price, search for a pickup point by postal code or city and must choose one before they can continue.

It suits Belgian stores that want to offer parcel locker and pickup point delivery next to home delivery. Prices are the fixed prices you enter. The extension does not get live rates from bpost, create shipments, print labels or track parcels, and pickup points are shown as a list, not on a map.

Key features

Pickup point selector: when the customer chooses bpost, the postal code of the delivery address is searched automatically. The customer can search another postal code or a city and picks a point from the list.

Pickup point required: the delivery step cannot be completed without a pickup point, and only a point from bpost's list for the search is accepted. The check is done on the server.

Two pricing modes: fixed prices per country, or prices by parcel size from the cart weight (S up to 2 kg, M up to 5 kg, L up to 10 kg, XL above), per order or per item.

Pickup point in the order: added to the shipping method of the order, so it appears on the order pages, in the order e-mails and on the invoice. The admin order page shows the point with its ID and a Change button.

Fast checkout: pickup point lists are cached for up to 6 hours (not longer than the OpenCart cache lifetime, 1 hour by default) and failed requests for 5 minutes, so a bpost outage does not slow the checkout down.

Shipping rules: geo zone or a country list, minimum and maximum cart weight (default maximum 30 kg), minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, tax class.

Clear settings page: sections for the API keys, the selector, prices and conditions, one Save button without page reload, JSON import and export of the settings.

Debug log in the admin: view and clear the log on the extension page. Keys and tokens are never logged.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. The pickup point selector needs a bpost Shipping Platform account with API keys and an App ID issued by bpost. Without keys the method works with fixed prices only. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
