VibeFox Bob Go for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Bob Go adds Bob Go shipping to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 with live rates at checkout. Bob Go is a South African shipping aggregator: you set up carriers, services and prices in your Bob Go account, and every service it returns, for example "The Courier Guy - Economy", is shown as its own delivery option under the Bob Go method title. Fixed prices per country serve as the fallback.

It suits South African stores that already use Bob Go. The extension shows rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, waybills or labels, track parcels, sync orders to Bob Go, offer pickup point or locker selection, or ship outside South Africa.

Key features

Live Bob Go services: every service Bob Go returns from its "Rates at checkout" API is a separate delivery option with its Bob Go name and price.

No API keys: Bob Go identifies your store by its domain.

Three modes: live rates only, fixed prices only, or live rates with fixed prices when Bob Go returns no rates. Fixed prices per country plus a flat price, per order or per item.

Currency handling: Bob Go quotes in rand (ZAR). Stores in another currency set a ZAR conversion rate: rates are converted and product prices are sent to Bob Go in ZAR.

South African provinces: the zones of South Africa in OpenCart are sent to Bob Go as province codes, so Bob Go gets the province of the delivery address.

Service saved with the order: the Bob Go service and the estimated delivery are shown on the order page in the admin and to the customer. Delivery dates can also be shown at checkout.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour, failed requests for 5 minutes. A failed request never breaks the checkout. The settings page shows the last response from Bob Go.

Shipping rules: geo zone or a country list, minimum and maximum weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, tax class, JSON import and export of the settings.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live rates need a Bob Go account with your store installed as a sales channel and "Rates at checkout" enabled. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
