VibeFox Blue Express for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Blue Express adds Blue Express delivery in Chile to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 as one shipping method with two options: Blue Express for home delivery and Blue Express pickup point for pickup at a Blue Express point the customer chooses on the official Blue Express map. The price is a live rate from the Blue Express API or a fixed price per country.

It suits Chilean stores that ship with Blue Express. The extension calculates rates and saves the chosen pickup point in the order. It does not create Blue Express shipments or labels, assign tracking numbers or track parcels, and it has no regional rate tables per commune. Live rates work for Chile only.

Key features

Live Blue Express rates: services Express (EX), Prioritario (PY) and SameDay (MD), with fixed prices per country as the only price source or as a fallback when the API gives no rate.

Home delivery and pickup points: two options of one shipping method, each with its own name and switch. The customer picks a Blue Express point on the official map in the delivery step.

Pickup price: after a point is chosen, the rate is recalculated with the Blue Express pickup (PUDO) price. The customer cannot continue without a point.

Pickup point in the order: added to the shipping method of the order, so it appears in the order e-mails and on the customer's order pages. The admin order page shows the point with its agency code and lets you change it.

Chilean regions in one click: Blue Express needs the region of the address. If your store is missing Chilean regions, the extension can add them as zones of Chile.

Correct parcels and currency: weights and dimensions are converted to kg and cm from their OpenCart classes, prices in CLP are converted to your store currency with your exchange rate and shown in the customer's currency.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour and commune data for up to 12 hours. A failed API call is remembered for 5 minutes, so a slow API does not slow down the checkout.

Shipping rules: geo zone or a list of countries, minimum and maximum weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, per-order or per-item fixed prices, tax class. Debug log viewable on the extension page.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Live rates need a Blue Express e-commerce account and its API key. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
