VibeFox Yoco for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Yoco Pay Gateway adds card and Instant EFT payments in South African rand (ZAR) to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 through the Yoco Checkout API. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Yoco-hosted payment page, pays there and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Yoco confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits South African stores that sell in ZAR and have a Yoco account with online payments. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no saved cards, subscriptions, on-site card form or separate authorize and capture, and it works only in ZAR, with a minimum order total of R2.00.

Key features

Yoco hosted checkout: a Yoco checkout is created for the order total in cents. A repeated request after a double click or a timeout gets the same checkout, not a second one.

Paid only when Yoco confirms: the extension asks Yoco for the checkout status when the customer returns and when a signed webhook arrives. The order gets its status only when Yoco reports the checkout as completed, and OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Webhooks set up for you: when you save a secret key, the extension registers its webhook URL with Yoco for that mode and stores the signing secret. Webhooks without a valid signature are rejected.

Amount and currency check: a payment with a different amount or currency puts the order in a review status with a note. A payment for a cancelled or refunded order does not reopen it.

No double processing: a webhook and the customer's return arriving at the same moment are handled one after the other. A cart that is already paid is not charged again, and a second payment is flagged in the order notes.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Yoco Pay Gateway tab of the order, in the amount Yoco charged and with the key of the mode the payment was made in. Refunds made in the Yoco portal are recorded automatically.

Test and live modes: separate secret keys and webhook secrets for each mode. A key with the wrong prefix is not saved.

Your own order statuses and OpenCart conditions: choose the status for a paid order, a payment on review and a full refund; geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Log with keys and e-mail addresses masked.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. An enabled South African rand (ZAR) currency in the store. A Yoco account with online payments and its secret keys. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
