VibeFox Wompi for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Wompi Payment adds Wompi Colombia payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Wompi Web Checkout and pays there with any payment method enabled in your Wompi account, such as cards, PSE, Nequi or Bancolombia. No payment data is entered on your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Wompi confirms the transaction, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores in Colombia that sell in Colombian pesos (COP) and have a Wompi merchant account. The extension does not refund from OpenCart: refunds and voids are made in the Wompi merchant dashboard. It has no saved cards, subscriptions or card fields on your site, and it does not support Wompi El Salvador or Panama.

Key features

Wompi Web Checkout: the payment request is protected by the Wompi integrity signature.

Paid only when Wompi confirms: the order status is set after a signed Wompi event or after a server-side check of the transaction when the customer returns to the store.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency of the approved transaction are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note, and the order is not marked paid.

Delayed payments: PSE, Nequi and other payments that wait for confirmation put the order in an awaiting status until Wompi approves or declines them.

No double processing: every transaction status is applied once, so repeated events and returns never record a payment twice. One cart is paid only once.

Sandbox and production: separate keys for each environment. Each payment attempt keeps the environment it was made in, and a sandbox transaction never confirms a production payment.

Clear availability: the payment method is shown only for checkouts in COP from COP 1,500 with all keys of the current mode set. The settings page tells which key is missing.

Order tab and OpenCart settings: reference, transaction, status, payment method, amounts, payment attempts and notes on the order page; your own order statuses, geo zone, minimum total and sort order.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Colombian peso (COP) set up as a store currency and selected at checkout. A Wompi Colombia merchant account with the public key, private key, events secret and integrity secret of the sandbox and of production. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
