VibeFox TrustPay for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox TrustPay Gateway adds card payments through finby (formerly TrustPay) to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure finby payment page with 3-D Secure, pays by card and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after finby confirms the payment with a signed notification, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that want to accept cards with a finby project without building a card form on their own site. It takes card payments only. It has no bank transfers or other finby payment methods, no Apple Pay or Google Pay buttons on your site, no saved cards, no subscriptions, no separate authorize and capture and no status polling.

Key features

finby payment page: a card payment request is created for the order total in the order currency (EUR, CZK, HUF, GBP, PLN, NOK, SEK, DKK, BGN, RON, CHF or USD). The page opens in the storefront language when finby supports it, otherwise in English.

Paid only when finby confirms: the order status is set by a signed server-to-server notification from finby. The return of the customer never marks a payment as paid.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency are compared with the payment request and the order total. A mismatch puts the order in your on-hold status with a note.

No double processing: repeated notifications are applied once. A second payment for a paid order or for another order of the same cart is only noted.

Test and live projects: separate Project ID and Secret key for the test (playground) and the live project. A test payment never confirms a live one, and refunds always go to the project the order was paid through.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the order tab of the extension, up to the amount the customer actually paid. A full refund sets your refunded status.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a pending payment, a payment on hold, a rejected payment and a full refund.

OpenCart conditions and log: geo zone, minimum total and sort order. Log without keys, tokens or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A finby (TrustPay) project with its Project ID and Secret key, and a test (playground) project for test payments. The notification URL of your store must be reachable from the internet. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
