VibeFox Tap for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Tap Payments adds Tap Payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, mada, KNET, Benefit, Apple Pay and Google Pay. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order and pays on the secure Tap payment page or in the Tap checkout popup on a payment page of your store. Card data never touches your server. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Tap confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and other Tap markets that want to accept local and international payment methods with a Tap account. The extension takes one-time payments. It has no saved cards, subscriptions or card fields embedded in your checkout page, and no partial capture.

Key features

Two checkout types: the Tap payment page (redirect, recommended) or the Tap checkout popup on a payment page of the extension, with the Tap payment page as a fallback.

Paid only when Tap confirms: the extension reads the payment from the Tap API, checks that it belongs to the order and compares the amount and currency with the order before the order gets its status. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Signed webhook, nothing to configure: the webhook URL is sent with every payment. Notifications without a valid signature are rejected.

Correct amounts: KWD, BHD, OMR and JOD are sent with 3 decimals, SAR, AED, QAR, EUR, USD and the other currencies with 2.

Charge or authorize only: capture an authorized payment with Capture Tap payment or release the funds with Void Tap authorization in the order tab.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Tap Payments tab of the order, up to the amount Tap charged, always with the key of the mode (test or live) the payment was made in.

Safe status handling: repeated webhooks and returns never apply a payment twice, and a cart that is already paid is not charged again. Amount mismatches go to a review status, and duplicate or late payments are noted on the order.

Your own order statuses and OpenCart conditions: choose the status for a paid, authorized, reviewed, voided and refunded order; geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Tap page in English or Arabic. Optional debug log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Tap account with test and live API keys (the secret key; the publishable key only for the popup). Order currency AED, BHD, EGP, EUR, GBP, JOD, KWD, OMR, QAR, SAR or USD. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
