VibeFox Stripe for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Stripe Gateway adds card payments through Stripe Checkout to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Stripe-hosted payment page, pays by credit or debit card and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Stripe confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that want to accept cards with a Stripe account without building a card form on their own site. The extension takes one-time card payments only. It has no saved cards, subscriptions, on-site card form, Apple Pay or Google Pay buttons on your site, or separate authorize and capture.

Key features

Stripe Checkout: one payment for the order total in the order currency, including zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW and three-decimal currencies such as KWD and BHD.

Paid only when Stripe confirms: the order status is set after a signed Stripe webhook or after a server-side check of the payment when the customer returns to the store. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Stripe are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note.

No double processing: repeated webhooks and returns never apply a payment twice. A new attempt closes the previous Stripe sessions of the cart, so it cannot be paid twice.

Test and live modes: separate secret keys and webhook secrets for each mode. A test payment never confirms a live payment, and refunds always go to the mode the payment was made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Stripe Gateway tab of the order, with the refund history and the Stripe notes. A full refund sets the Refunded status. Refunds made in the Stripe Dashboard are noted on the order.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a delayed payment, a payment on review, a failed payment and a full refund.

OpenCart conditions: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Stripe account with secret API keys and a webhook endpoint. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
