VibeFox SimplePay for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox SimplePay Gateway adds card payments through SimplePay, the Hungarian payment service, to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. It connects to the SimplePay v2 API. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the SimplePay payment page, pays by card and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after SimplePay confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that sell in HUF, EUR or USD and have SimplePay merchant accounts. The extension takes one-time card payments only. It has no saved cards or one-click payments, no subscriptions or recurring payments, no separate authorize and capture, and no automatic sync of refunds made in the SimplePay merchant admin.

Key features

One account per currency: MERCHANT and SECRET KEY for HUF, EUR and USD, live and sandbox. The payment method is offered only for an order currency that has an account in the current mode. HUF amounts are sent as whole forints.

Paid only when SimplePay confirms: the order status is set after the signed SimplePay IPN, or after a signed status request when the customer returns with a successful result. The return alone never pays an order.

Signed requests: every request to SimplePay is signed, and SimplePay's answers are verified. IPNs with an invalid signature are rejected.

Amount and currency check: if the order changed after the payment was started, the order goes to a review status with a note instead of being marked paid.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous IPNs and returns never apply a payment twice. Each retry gets its own SimplePay reference, and a late payment of an older attempt is still recognised.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox SimplePay Gateway tab of the order, always with the merchant account and mode (sandbox or live) of the payment. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Messages SimplePay asks for: the SimplePay transaction ID on the order success page, and SimplePay's texts for failed, cancelled and timed-out payments at checkout.

OpenCart conditions: your own order statuses, geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. SimplePay merchant accounts (MERCHANT and SECRET KEY) for the currencies you sell in: HUF, EUR or USD. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
