VibeFox Paytrail for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Paytrail Gateway adds payments through the Paytrail payment page to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Paytrail page, pays with one of the methods enabled for your Paytrail account (Finnish online banks, cards, mobile payments, invoice and instalment methods) and comes back to your store. Card and bank data never touch your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Paytrail confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits Finnish stores that sell in euros and want all their Paytrail methods behind one payment method. The method is chosen on the Paytrail page, not in your checkout. The extension accepts EUR only. It has no saved cards, no subscriptions, no shop-in-shop, no manual invoice activation and no settlement reports, and refunds made in the Paytrail Merchant Panel are not synchronised back to OpenCart.

Key features

Paytrail payment page: one payment method for all your Paytrail methods. The page language follows the customer's language (Finnish, Swedish or English).

Order rows sent to Paytrail: products with their tax, gift certificates, shipping and other charges; discounts are spread over the rows. The rows always add up to the payment amount.

Paid only when Paytrail confirms: the customer's return and the server-to-server callback are accepted only with a valid signature and only for a payment attempt of that order. A paid amount that differs from the order total puts the order in a review status with a note.

Nothing to set up in Paytrail: the callback URL is sent with every payment.

One cart, one payment: repeated callbacks and returns are applied once. A new attempt for an already paid cart goes straight to the success page, and a second paid attempt is reported as a duplicate to refund.

Delayed payments: invoice and other pending payments get an awaiting status until Paytrail confirms or rejects them.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Paytrail Gateway tab of the order, up to the amount Paytrail actually took. When a payment method does not support direct refunds, an e-mail refund is started automatically.

Test mode and OpenCart conditions: Paytrail's public test account, no keys needed; your own order statuses, geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log without personal data or keys.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Paytrail merchant account (merchant ID and secret key) and EUR as the order currency. The store should be reachable from the internet for callbacks. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
