VibeFox Paystack for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Paystack Payment adds Paystack payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure Paystack hosted checkout page and pays with any channel enabled on your Paystack account, such as cards, bank transfer, USSD or mobile money. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Paystack confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that sell in NGN, USD, GHS, ZAR, KES, XOF, EGP or RWF and have a Paystack account. Only the secret keys are needed. The extension has no inline or popup payment form (redirect only), no saved cards, no subscriptions, no split payments or subaccounts and no choice of payment channels.

Key features

Paid only when Paystack confirms: neither the customer return nor the webhook body is trusted. The extension reads the transaction from the Paystack API on the server and checks its reference, status, amount and currency against the order. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Signed webhooks: Paystack signs every webhook with your secret key, so there is no extra secret to set up. Bank transfer and USSD payments that complete later are confirmed by the webhook.

Amount and currency check: a mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note. Paystack fees passed to the customer are supported.

One cart, one payment: the customer return and the webhook can arrive at the same moment without applying a payment twice. A new attempt for an already paid cart goes straight to the success page, and a duplicate payment is flagged for refund.

Test and live modes: separate secret keys. The settings page warns about a missing key, a test key in live mode, a live key in test mode or a public key in a secret key field, and the payment method stays hidden until it is fixed.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Paystack Payment tab of the order, in the mode (test or live) the payment was made in and in the amount and currency Paystack actually charged.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, an autocompleted order, a payment still being processed, a payment on review, a failed payment and a full refund.

OpenCart conditions: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Paystack account with test and/or live secret keys. Order currency: NGN, USD, GHS, ZAR, KES, XOF, EGP or RWF, as enabled on your Paystack account. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
