VibeFox Paymob for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Paymob Pay adds Paymob payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 for stores in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Pakistan. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure Paymob payment page, pays by card, mobile wallet or another method of your Paymob integration and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order gets a status only after Paymob confirms the transaction.

It suits stores that sell in the currency of their Paymob country (EGP, AED, SAR, OMR or PKR) and want a hosted payment page. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no refunds from the admin, no saved cards, no subscriptions, no embedded card form on your site and no separate test mode switch: test payments use a Paymob test integration.

Key features

Five Paymob countries: the API and payment page server of your Paymob country is used, and amounts are sent in the minor unit of the currency, including OMR with three decimals.

Paid only when Paymob confirms: the order status is set only from a transaction signed with your HMAC secret, from the Paymob server callback or the signed customer return. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency must match the order. A mismatch puts the order in your on-hold status with a note.

No double processing: repeated callbacks, or a callback and a customer return arriving together, never apply a payment twice. One cart is paid only once, even if the customer opens the checkout in two tabs.

Pending and authorized payments: cash or kiosk payments wait in the awaiting status, authorizations that are not captured yet wait in the on-hold status, until Paymob confirms the payment.

Payment retries: after a declined payment the customer is back at checkout with the same cart and can pay again. Every attempt gets its own Paymob order.

Paymob tab on the order page: Paymob IDs, status, amounts, card and notes for every attempt of the order.

OpenCart conditions: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log without keys, tokens or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Paymob merchant account in Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman or Pakistan with an API key, an integration ID, an iFrame ID and the HMAC secret. The checkout currency must be the currency of your Paymob country. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
