VibeFox Nexi XPay for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Nexi XPay Gateway adds card payments with Nexi XPay (Italy) to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure Nexi XPay payment page, pays and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after a signed Nexi result, so abandoned payments stay missing orders.

It suits Italian stores that sell in EUR and have a Nexi XPay merchant account with the "Pagamento Semplice" redirect integration. The extension takes one-time payments with immediate or deferred capture. It has no refunds from OpenCart (refunds are made in the Nexi XPay back office), no saved cards or OneClick, subscriptions, Pay-By-Link or embedded XPay Build fields.

Key features

Nexi XPay payment page: the payment is sent to the Nexi page in EUR with a new transaction code for every attempt. The Nexi page opens in the customer's store language when Nexi supports it.

Paid only when Nexi confirms: an order gets its status only from a Nexi result signed with your MAC key, from the alias of the right environment and with a transaction code issued for that order.

No setup in Nexi: the server-to-server notification address is sent with every payment. The notification and the signed customer return can both confirm the payment, whichever arrives first.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency received from Nexi are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in your on-hold status with a note.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous results never pay an order twice, a paid order is never downgraded by a later failure, and a second payment is reported in a note.

Immediate or deferred capture: with deferred capture the authorized order waits in the on-hold status until you click Capture Nexi XPay payment in the order tab.

Test and live modes: separate alias and MAC key for each environment. Each payment is verified and captured with the keys of the environment it was made in.

Your own order statuses and a Nexi tab: choose the OpenCart status for every case; the order tab shows the transaction code, amounts, authorization code, card brand and notes. Geo zone, minimum total, optional log without keys or card data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Checkout currency EUR. A Nexi XPay merchant account with the alias and MAC key of your terminal (test and live). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
