VibeFox Nets Nexi for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Nets Nexi Gateway adds Nets Easy (Nexi Checkout) payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Nets hosted payment page and pays by card or with a Nordic payment method enabled in your Nets account, depending on your Nets contract, country and currency. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after the payment has been read back from Nets and charged, so abandoned payments stay missing orders.

It suits Nordic stores that want one Nets account for cards and local payment methods. The extension takes one-time payments and charges them automatically once verified. It has no embedded on-page Nets checkout, subscriptions or recurring payments, saved cards, invoice fees, authorize-only mode or partial captures per shipment.

Key features

Nets hosted payment page: the payment is created with the order lines (products, shipping, coupons and other order totals) in the order currency, including zero-decimal and three-decimal currencies.

Paid only when Nets confirms: the payment is always read from the Nets API with your secret key. Webhooks, the customer's return and the check on the order page confirm it the same way.

Automatic capture: a reservation that matches the order amount and currency is charged automatically. A mismatch, a failed capture or a payment for a cancelled order puts the order in your on-hold status with a note and is not captured.

No setup in Nets: webhooks are registered automatically with every payment and protected by a random per-payment secret (the store needs HTTPS).

No double processing: repeated webhooks, reloads and parallel requests never charge twice. A new attempt closes the previous Nets session, and a second reservation for a paid order is released automatically.

Test and live modes: separate secret keys and API hosts. Captures and refunds always use the environment the payment was made in.

Nets tab on the order page: payment details, a status check and capture button, full and partial refunds, refund history and Nets notes.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid, on-hold, cancelled and refunded order. Geo zone, minimum total, optional log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Nets Easy account with secret API keys. HTTPS for webhooks. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
