VibeFox Montonio for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Montonio Payment adds Montonio bank payments (payment initiation) to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Montonio payment page, picks a bank of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland or Poland, pays from the bank account and comes back to your store. Bank login and payment happen on the Montonio and bank pages, not on your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Montonio confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores in the Baltics, Finland and Poland that sell in EUR or PLN and want direct bank payments with a Montonio account. The extension takes bank payments only. It has no card payments, BLIK, Apple Pay or Google Pay, Pay Later or financing, Montonio shipping, subscriptions, saved payment methods or bank selection on your own site.

Key features

Montonio payment page: one payment for the order total in EUR or PLN. Banks of the customer's billing country are shown first, and the page opens in the store language when Montonio supports it.

Paid only when Montonio confirms: the order status is set only after a signed Montonio confirmation. Confirmations come by a server notification and with the customer's return, so a lost notification does not leave a paid order without a status. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Montonio are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note.

No setup in Montonio: the notification address is sent with every payment, so there is no webhook to create in the Montonio Partner System.

No double processing: repeated notifications never apply a payment twice. Before a new attempt, the extension checks whether the previous attempt of the cart is already paid, so the customer does not pay twice.

Sandbox and live modes: separate key pairs for each environment. Every payment keeps its environment: confirmations and refunds use its keys, and a sandbox payment never confirms an order in live mode.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Montonio Payment tab of the order, limited to the amount Montonio charged, with the payment attempts, refund history and Montonio notes. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a payment on hold, a failed payment and a full refund. Geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Log without keys, tokens or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Checkout currency EUR or PLN. A Montonio account with the access key and secret key of your store (sandbox and live). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
