VibeFox Moneris for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Moneris Gateway adds credit card payments through the Moneris Gateway (eSELECTplus) to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. The customer enters the card number, expiry date and card code in a card form at the Confirm Order step. Your server sends the card to the Moneris API and gets the answer at once, so there is no redirect and no webhook. The order gets a status only from an approved Moneris answer; a declined card leaves the order without a status and the customer can try again.

It suits Canadian stores selling in CAD, and stores with a legacy Moneris USA account selling in USD, that want the card form on their own checkout page. Card data passes through your server, so live payments need HTTPS and PCI DSS SAQ D compliance. The extension has no saved cards, subscriptions, Apple Pay or Google Pay, Moneris Checkout or Hosted Tokenization, and no 3-D Secure.

Key features

Card form on your checkout: card number, expiry (MM/YY) and CVC, with the card logos you choose. The card data is used for one request only and is never stored or logged.

Purchase or Pre-Authorization: charge the card at once, or only reserve the funds and capture them later with a button on the order or by setting the order to a paid status.

Void from the order: release an uncaptured pre-authorization with a button or by setting the canceled or refunded status.

Safe when Moneris does not answer: a Status Check finds out whether the payment went through. If the result stays unknown, the order is put on review instead of charging the card again.

One cart, one payment: a second click or a second order of the same cart is never charged again.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Moneris Gateway tab of the order, limited to the amount Moneris actually charged, with the refund history and the Moneris notes.

Test and live modes: the public Moneris test store is filled in by default. Live mode with test credentials hides the payment method. Captures, voids and refunds always go to the environment and account of the payment.

OpenCart conditions: your own order statuses, geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log with masked card data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Moneris Gateway store (Canada, CAD, or legacy USA, USD) with its Store ID and API Token, HTTPS and PCI DSS SAQ D compliance for live payments. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
