VibeFox MakeCommerce for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox MakeCommerce Payment adds MakeCommerce (Maksekeskus) payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the MakeCommerce payment page, picks a bank link of an Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian or Finnish bank or pays by card, and comes back to your store. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after MakeCommerce confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores in the Baltic countries and Finland that want all payment methods of their MakeCommerce contract under one payment method. The bank or card is chosen on the MakeCommerce page, not in your checkout. The extension has no saved cards, recurring payments or subscriptions and no MakeCommerce shipping (parcel machines, labels).

Key features

One payment method: Bank link or card (MakeCommerce). The MakeCommerce payment page shows the bank links and cards of your contract, in the customer's language where MakeCommerce supports it.

Paid only when MakeCommerce confirms: the signed notification and the signed return of the customer are checked, the transaction is re-checked through the MakeCommerce API, and the paid amount and currency must match the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Nothing to set up in the Merchant Portal: each transaction carries its own return, cancel and notification URLs.

No double processing: duplicate notifications, a notification and a return at the same moment, or a payment of an older payment link of the same cart never apply a payment twice. A cart that is already paid is not sent to MakeCommerce again.

Status check: the Check MakeCommerce payment status button in the order tab asks the API and completes the order if a notification was lost. Customers get a Check again button while the payment is being confirmed.

Test and live modes: separate keys for each environment. Status checks and refunds always go to the environment the payment was made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox MakeCommerce Payment tab of the order, up to the amount actually paid, with all transactions of the order, the refund history and the MakeCommerce notes. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Your own order statuses and OpenCart conditions: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a payment on review, a cancelled and a refunded order. Geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Log without keys or customer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A MakeCommerce account with a Shop ID and Secret key for the test and the live environment. The store must be reachable from the internet for notifications. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
