VibeFox Khipu for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Khipu Gateway adds Khipu bank transfer payments to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 for stores in Chile, Argentina and Peru. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Khipu payment page, pays by bank transfer from their own bank and comes back to your store. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Khipu confirms the transfer, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that sell in Chilean pesos, Argentine pesos or Peruvian soles and want to accept bank transfers with a Khipu collection account. The extension takes one-off bank transfer payments only. Refunds are not sent to Khipu from OpenCart, and it has no subscriptions, saved payment methods or pre-authorisations.

Key features

Khipu payment page: a payment is created for the order total in the order currency: CLP without decimals, ARS and PEN with 2 decimals.

Paid only when Khipu confirms: Khipu notifications must carry a valid HMAC-SHA256 signature, and the extension then asks Khipu for the payment status. The order gets its status only when Khipu reports the transfer as done, for your Receiver ID, for this payment attempt and for the exact amount and currency. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Check on return: when the customer comes back from Khipu, the extension asks Khipu for the status, so a lost or delayed notification does not leave a paid order without a status.

Amount and currency check: a mismatch, or money that arrives after the order was cancelled, puts the order in a review status with a note.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous notifications and returns never apply a payment twice, and a cart that is already paid is not charged again.

Safe retries: a new attempt deletes the previous unpaid Khipu payment, so the old link can no longer be paid. If Khipu already received the previous payment, it is applied instead of charging again.

Your own order statuses: choose the status after payment (Processing or Completed) and the OpenCart statuses for a paid order, a completed order and a payment on review.

Khipu tab on the order page: the payment attempts of the order with their Khipu payment IDs and statuses, and the extension's notes. OpenCart geo zone, minimum total and sort order. Optional log without keys or payer data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Order currency CLP, ARS or PEN. A Khipu collection account with a Receiver ID, API key and secret key, and a store reachable from the internet. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
