VibeFox ifthenpay for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox ifthenpay Gateway adds ifthenpay payments for Portuguese customers to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. One method is offered at checkout, chosen in the settings: Multibanco references, MB WAY or Credit Card. With Multibanco the customer gets an entity, reference and amount to pay at an ATM or in online banking; with MB WAY the customer approves a request in the MB WAY app; with Credit Card the customer pays on the secure ifthenpay card page, and the order gets a status only after the payment is confirmed.

It suits stores in Portugal that sell in euros and have an ifthenpay account with a key for the chosen method. The extension offers one ifthenpay method per installation. It has no refunds from OpenCart, no Payshop, Cofidis Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PIX or Pay-by-Link, no subscriptions or saved cards, no automatic expiry of unpaid Multibanco references and no payment status polling.

Key features

Multibanco: a dynamic reference is created for the order total. The order waits in your awaiting status, and the reference is shown on the order success page, in the order e-mail and in the customer's order history.

MB WAY: the customer enters the mobile number linked to MB WAY (Portuguese numbers or the international 351#912345678 format) and approves the payment in the app.

Credit Card: payment on the ifthenpay card page, confirmed by the signed return (HMAC-SHA256 with your Credit Card key) or by the callback.

Protected callbacks: callbacks are accepted only with your anti-phishing key. A forged request never changes an order.

Amount check: the paid amount is checked to the cent against the order total. A different amount puts the order in a review status of your choice with a note.

No double processing: repeated callbacks and returns change nothing: one payment, one note. A cart that already has a paid or awaiting order is not charged again, cancelled orders that get paid go on hold for review, and refunded orders are never reopened.

Test mode and your own statuses: Credit Card and Multibanco use the ifthenpay sandbox in test mode. You choose the OpenCart statuses for paid, awaiting and on hold payments.

ifthenpay tab on the order page: the payment attempts with reference or request ID, a warning for orders on hold and the extension's notes. Geo zone, minimum total and sort order as in OpenCart. Log without keys or phone numbers.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. An ifthenpay account with the key of the chosen method and the callback activated by ifthenpay. Order currency euro (EUR). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
