VibeFox ePay.bg for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox ePay.bg Gateway adds ePay.bg, the Bulgarian payment provider, to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the ePay.bg payment page and pays there with a bank card or an ePay.bg account. ePay.bg then sends a signed notification to your store, and only this notification gives the order a status. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders. Card data never touches your site.

It suits stores selling in Bulgarian lev (BGN), euro (EUR) or US dollar (USD) that have an ePay.bg merchant account. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no refunds from OpenCart (refunds are made in the ePay.bg merchant panel), no saved cards, subscriptions or recurring payments, and no EasyPay or B-Pay cash payment codes.

Key features

ePay.bg payment page: a signed payment request for the order total in the order currency (BGN, EUR or USD) is sent to ePay.bg, where the customer pays by card or with an ePay.bg account.

Paid only when ePay.bg confirms: notifications are accepted only with a valid HMAC-SHA1 checksum and only for an invoice the extension issued. The customer's return to the store never pays an order. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount, currency and mode check: the amount, currency and mode (test or live) that were signed are stored and checked again when the payment arrives. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note.

No double processing: repeated or parallel notifications never apply a payment twice. A late denied or expired notice never changes a paid order.

Denied and expired requests: the order gets no status, the cart is kept and the customer can pay again or choose another payment method.

Test and live: separate credentials for demo.epay.bg and www.epay.bg. Payments started before you switch the mode are still confirmed.

Your settings: invoice prefix, expiration time of the payment request, ePay.bg page language (English or Bulgarian), order status after payment with your own OpenCart statuses, geo zone, minimum order total and sort order.

ePay.bg tab on the order page: invoice, requested amount, STAN, BORICA code and the ePay.bg notes. Payment requests and notifications go to an optional log without secret keys or card data; errors are always logged.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. Checkout currency BGN, EUR or USD. An ePay.bg merchant account with a customer number (MIN) and a secret key, and the notification URL entered in your ePay.bg merchant profile. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
