VibeFox DPO for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox DPO Pay Gateway connects OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 to DPO Pay (Network International), a payment service for Africa and the Middle East. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure DPO payment page and pays with a card, mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN and others) or any other method enabled on your DPO account. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after DPO confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores with a DPO Pay merchant account that sell in a currency supported by DPO. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no refunds from the store (refunds are made in the DPO merchant portal), no saved cards, subscriptions or card fields on your site, and it does not capture authorized-only payments.

Key features

DPO payment page: a DPO transaction is created for the order total in the order currency. The customer's name, e-mail, phone and payment address are passed to DPO to pre-fill the payment page.

Paid only when DPO confirms: the extension asks DPO itself, server to server, for the result of every payment. The customer's return, the push notification and the scheduled re-checks only start this check. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency are compared with the order to the cent. A difference, an authorized-only payment or an overpaid or underpaid transaction puts the order in a review status with a note.

No double charges: before a new payment attempt the previous DPO transactions of the cart are checked and cancelled if unpaid. Repeated notifications never apply a payment twice.

Scheduled re-checks: a cron URL re-checks unconfirmed payments 15 minutes after the redirect and after the payment time limit, so the order gets its status even if the customer closes the browser.

Test and live accounts: separate Company Token and Service Type for each. Every payment is always checked with the account it was created with.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, for a payment on review, and the cancelled status that also cancels the open DPO payment of an unpaid order.

OpenCart conditions and clear records: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Order history notes explain every result. Optional log with masked tokens and no customer data; errors are always logged.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later with the SimpleXML extension. One download has the packages for both versions. A DPO Pay merchant account with a Company Token and a Service Type ID, a store currency supported by your DPO account, and a server cron for the re-checks. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
