VibeFox dLocal for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox dLocal Payment connects OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 to dLocal Go, the self-service product of dLocal. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the dLocal Go payment page, pays with a local method of their country (cards, bank transfers, cash vouchers or wallets) and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after dLocal Go confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores selling to Latin America, Africa and Asia that have a dLocal Go account. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no card form on your site, saved cards, subscriptions or separate authorize and capture, and it does not work with the enterprise dLocal Payments API (X-Login / X-Trans-Key credentials).

Key features

dLocal Go payment page: a payment is created for the order total in the order currency and the customer's country. Amounts follow the decimals of the currency, for example whole amounts for CLP and JPY.

Paid only when dLocal Go confirms: payment notifications are checked by their signature, and the status, amount and currency are always read again from the dLocal Go API. The status is also checked when the customer returns. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: a payment that does not match the order puts it in a review status with a note instead of marking it paid.

No double processing: repeated notifications and returns never apply a payment twice. Before a new payment starts, the open payments of the same customer session are checked, so a paid one is confirmed instead of charging again.

Sandbox and production: separate credentials for each environment. Notifications and refunds of a payment always use the credentials of its own environment.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox dLocal Payment tab of the order, in the amount and currency dLocal Go charged. A full refund sets the Refunded status, and the final refund status from dLocal Go is added to the notes.

Customer-friendly retries: a customer who leaves the dLocal Go page without paying sees a message at checkout and can try again or choose another method.

OpenCart conditions and statuses: geo zone, minimum order total, sort order and your own statuses for paid, completed, review and refunded orders. Optional log without credentials or personal data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A dLocal Go account with an API key and API secret. A store reachable from the internet over HTTPS for notifications. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
