VibeFox Culqi for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Culqi Payment adds Culqi, the Peruvian payment service, to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order and pays by card or Yape in the Culqi Checkout popup without leaving your store. Card data is entered in the Culqi window and never reaches your server. Your server then creates the charge with the Culqi Charges API. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Culqi confirms the charge, so declined or abandoned payments stay missing orders.

It suits stores in Peru that sell in Peruvian Sol (PEN) or US Dollar (USD) and have a Culqi account. The extension takes one-time payments by card and Yape only. It has no bank app, agents, wallets or Cuotéalo, no saved cards, subscriptions or installments, no Culqi webhooks and no separate authorize and capture.

Key features

Culqi Checkout popup: cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club) and, optionally, Yape in a window on the confirm step of your checkout.

3-D Secure: when the bank requires it, Culqi 3-D Secure opens automatically and the charge is completed after the authentication.

Paid only when Culqi confirms: the order status is set after Culqi answers with a successful charge, and the charged amount and currency are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

No double charges: an order that already has a Culqi charge is never charged again, even after a double click, a second tab or a retry.

Clear declines: the customer sees the message from Culqi and can try another card on the same step. A note on the order and the log keep the decline code.

Test and live modes: separate public and secret keys for each mode. Refunds always use the keys of the mode the payment was made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Culqi Payment tab of the order, up to the amount Culqi actually charged. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

OpenCart conditions and safe settings: geo zone, minimum order total, sort order and your own order statuses. Keys with a wrong prefix are refused, saved secret keys are never shown again. Optional log without keys, card data or customer details.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. An enabled store currency PEN or USD. A Culqi account with public and secret API keys. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
