VibeFox Comgate for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Comgate Gateway adds payments through Comgate to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Comgate payment page and pays by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, a bank button or a bank transfer, whatever is enabled for your store in Comgate. Then the customer comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Comgate confirms the payment, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits Czech and other European stores that sell in CZK, EUR, PLN, HUF, USD, GBP, RON, HRK, NOK or SEK with a Comgate account. The extension takes one-time payments only. It has no recurring payments, subscriptions or saved cards, no embedded Comgate checkout or Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons on your site, and it does not capture or cancel pre-authorizations from OpenCart.

Key features

Comgate payment page: the payment is created in the background for the order total in the order currency, and the customer is redirected to Comgate. You choose all methods, cards only or bank transfers only, and the page language.

Paid only when Comgate confirms: neither the background notification nor the customer return is trusted on its own. The extension re-reads the payment from the Comgate status API and accepts only a transaction it created for this order. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency must match the order. A mismatch puts the order in your on-hold status with a note.

Safe repeated attempts: before a new attempt, the earlier attempts of the cart are checked at Comgate. One that is already paid is confirmed instead of charging again, and open ones are cancelled. A second payment for a paid order adds a note to refund the duplicate.

Late payments: a payment confirmed after a pre-authorized order was cancelled reopens the order as paid, with a note.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Comgate Gateway tab of the order, always sent in the mode (test or live) of the original payment. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a payment on hold, a cancelled pre-authorization and a full refund.

OpenCart conditions: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Optional log without the secret or personal data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Comgate account with a Merchant ID and secret, and the notification URL set in the Comgate client portal. A store reachable from the internet. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
