VibeFox Barion for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Barion Gateway adds payments through Barion, the Hungarian payment provider, to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the secure Barion payment page (Barion Smart Gateway) and pays by card, Barion Wallet, Apple Pay or Google Pay, whatever your Barion shop offers. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Barion confirms the payment, so abandoned payments stay missing orders.

It suits stores in Hungary and the region that sell in HUF, EUR, USD or CZK and have a Barion shop. The extension takes immediate payments only. It has no reservation or delayed capture payments, no subscriptions or recurring payments, no saved cards and no Barion Pixel.

Key features

Barion payment page: a Barion payment is started for the order total in the order currency, with the products, shipping, other order fees and tax listed. HUF amounts are sent without decimals. The page language follows the customer's language where Barion supports it.

Paid only when Barion confirms: Barion callbacks are not signed, so the extension never trusts the callback or the customer's return by itself. The payment state is always read from Barion with your POSKey before an order status is set. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Barion are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in your on-hold status with a note.

No double processing: repeated callbacks and the customer's return, even at the same moment, record the payment once. Before a new attempt, earlier open payments of the cart are checked at Barion, so a cart that is already paid is not paid again.

Safe retries: every started payment is remembered. A late payment of an earlier attempt still confirms the order, and an expired earlier attempt does not cancel it.

Test and live modes: separate POSKey and wallet e-mail for each mode. Callbacks and refunds always use the mode the payment was made in.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Barion Gateway tab of the order, with the refund history and the Barion notes. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a payment still processing at Barion, a payment on review, a failed or cancelled payment and a full refund. Geo zone, minimum total and sort order. Optional log without the POSKey.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. A Barion shop with its POSKey and the e-mail address of your Barion wallet. Order currency HUF, EUR, USD or CZK. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
