Overview
VibeFox Authorize.Net Gateway adds an on-site credit card form to the last step of the OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4 checkout and charges cards through Authorize.Net. Authorize.Net's Accept.js library turns the card number, expiry date and card code into a one-time token in the customer's browser. Only that token reaches your server, so card data is never sent to or stored on your store. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Authorize.Net approves the transaction, so a declined card leaves only a missing order.
It suits stores in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand that have an Authorize.Net merchant account and want customers to pay by card without leaving the checkout. The extension has no saved cards or customer profiles, no subscriptions, no eCheck/ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or 3-D Secure, no partial capture and no currency conversion.
Key features
Card form with Accept.js: card number, expiry date and card code fields at the Confirm Order step. A declined card shows the reason under the form, and the customer can try another card.
Authorize and capture, or authorize only: charge the card at once, or reserve the funds and capture them later with Capture payment in the order tab.
Correct amount and currency: the order total is charged in the order currency. If the amount charged does not match the order, the order goes to a review status and only the money actually taken can be refunded.
No double charges: a double click, a second tab or a repeated submit never charges an order twice. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.
Fraud review support: transactions held by the Fraud Detection Suite put the order in a review status with a note.
Webhooks (optional, recommended): fraud review decisions and captures or voids made in the Authorize.Net panel update the order. Every notification is signed and re-checked with the API.
Refunds and capture from the order page: a full refund voids a transaction that is not settled yet; settled transactions can be refunded fully or partially, in the VibeFox Authorize.Net Gateway tab of the order.
Sandbox and production: separate credentials, switched with one switch. Captures, refunds and webhook checks always use the mode the payment was made in. Your own order statuses, geo zone and minimum total. Error log with keys, tokens and personal data masked.
