VibeFox Adyen for OpenCart

Overview

VibeFox Adyen Gateway adds payments through Adyen Payment Links to OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4. At the last checkout step the customer clicks Confirm Order, is sent to the Adyen-hosted payment page, pays with any method enabled in your Adyen merchant account (cards, wallets and local payment methods) and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. OpenCart creates the order before the payment, but the order gets a status only after Adyen confirms the payment with a signed webhook, so unpaid attempts stay missing orders.

It suits stores that have an Adyen merchant account and want the payment methods of that account without building a payment form on their own site. The extension has no subscriptions or recurring payments, no saved cards, no on-site card fields (Drop-in or Components) and no capture or cancel buttons in OpenCart. Capture follows your Adyen account settings.

Key features

Adyen Payment Links: a payment link is created for the order total in the order currency, with the minor units Adyen expects for each currency (0-decimal such as JPY, KRW, IDR; 3-decimal such as KWD, BHD).

Paid only when Adyen confirms: the order status is set only by an HMAC-signed AUTHORISATION webhook. Returning to the store never pays an order. OpenCart then sends its usual order e-mails.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency confirmed by Adyen are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order in a review status with a note.

No double processing: repeated or parallel webhook deliveries never record a payment twice. A new payment attempt expires the previous payment links of the order and the cart, and a second successful payment for a paid order adds a warning note.

Test and live modes: separate API keys and HMAC keys for each environment. A test notification never confirms a live payment, and refunds always go to the environment and merchant account of the payment.

Refunds from the order page: full and partial refunds in the VibeFox Adyen Gateway tab of the order, in the amount and currency Adyen authorised. Adyen confirms the result by webhook. A full refund sets the Refunded status.

Your own order statuses: choose the OpenCart status for a paid order, a payment on review, a cancelled payment and a full refund.

OpenCart conditions and log: geo zone, minimum order total and sort order. Log without API keys or shopper personal data.

Requirements

OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.5.0) or OpenCart 4.0.2 and later (tested on 4.1.0.3), PHP 8.0 or later. One download has the packages for both versions. An Adyen merchant account with API keys, a Standard webhook with an HMAC key and, for live payments, the live URL prefix. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
