Overview

VibeFox Stripe Gateway adds card payments through Stripe Checkout to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Stripe at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Stripe-hosted payment page, pays by credit or debit card and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Stripe confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores that want to accept cards with a Stripe account without building a card form on their own site. The module takes one-time card payments only. It has no saved cards, subscriptions, on-site card form, Apple Pay or Google Pay buttons on your site, separate authorize and capture, or payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Stripe Checkout: a payment session is created for the order total in the order currency, including zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW and three-decimal currencies such as KWD and BHD.

Paid only when Stripe confirms: the invoice with the Stripe payment ID is created after a signed Stripe webhook or after a server-side check of the payment when the customer returns to the store. A missing webhook does not lose paid orders.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Stripe are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No double processing: repeated webhooks and returns never invoice an order twice. A new payment attempt closes the previous Stripe session, so the customer cannot pay the same cart twice. A cancelled payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.

Test and live modes: separate secret keys and webhook secrets for each mode. A test payment never confirms a live payment, and refunds always go to the mode the payment was made in.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund. Refunds made in the Stripe Dashboard are noted on the order.

Order status of your choice: Processing, Complete or On Hold for manual review after a successful payment.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the webhook URL and events shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without keys or customer data.
