Overview
VibeFox Khipu Gateway adds Khipu bank transfer payments to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce for stores in Chile, Argentina and Peru. At checkout the customer chooses Khipu and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment and the customer is sent to the Khipu payment page, pays by bank transfer from their own bank and comes back to your store. The invoice and the order e-mail are created only after Khipu confirms the transfer.
It suits stores that sell in Chilean pesos, Argentine pesos or Peruvian soles and want to accept bank transfers with a Khipu collection account. The module takes one-off bank transfer payments only. Refunds are not sent to Khipu from Magento, and it has no subscriptions, saved payment methods or pre-authorisations.
Key features
Khipu payment page: a payment is created for the order total in the order currency: CLP without decimals, ARS and PEN with 2 decimals.
Paid only when Khipu confirms: Khipu notifications must carry a valid HMAC-SHA256 signature, and the module then asks Khipu for the payment status. The invoice is created only when Khipu reports the transfer as done, for your Receiver ID, for this order and for the exact amount and currency.
Check on return: when the customer comes back from Khipu, the module asks Khipu for the status, so a lost or delayed notification does not leave a paid order in Pending Payment.
Amount and currency check: a mismatch puts the order On Hold without an invoice, and money that arrives after the order was cancelled gets a note for manual review.
No double processing: repeated or simultaneous notifications and returns never create a second invoice or record the payment twice.
Safe retries: a new attempt for the same cart deletes the previous unpaid Khipu payment, so the old link can no longer be paid. If Khipu already received the previous payment, that payment is confirmed instead of charging again. Cancelling a Pending Payment order in Magento deletes its unpaid Khipu payment.
Standard Magento settings: the Payment Methods configuration page, settings per website, encrypted keys, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and Minimum/Maximum Order Total, Processing or Complete after payment, and an optional log without keys or payer data.
Khipu payment history on the order page: the Khipu payment attempts of the order with their payment IDs, statuses and amounts.
