VibeFox ifthenpay for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox ifthenpay Gateway adds ifthenpay payments for Portuguese customers to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. One method is offered at checkout, chosen in the settings: Multibanco references, MB WAY or Credit Card. The customer clicks Place Order and Magento places the order in Pending Payment. With Multibanco the customer gets an entity, a reference and the amount to pay at an ATM or in online banking; with MB WAY the customer approves a request in the MB WAY app; with Credit Card the customer pays on the ifthenpay card page. The order is invoiced only after ifthenpay confirms the payment.

It suits stores in Portugal that sell in euros and have an ifthenpay account with a key for the chosen method. The module offers one ifthenpay method per installation. It has no online refunds from Magento (refund in ifthenpay, then a credit memo with Refund Offline), no Payshop, Cofidis Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PIX or Pay-by-Link, no subscriptions or saved cards, no automatic expiry of unpaid Multibanco references, no payment status polling and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Multibanco: a dynamic reference is created for the order total. The entity, the reference and the amount are shown on the order success page, in the order e-mail and in the order in the customer account while the order waits for payment.

MB WAY: the customer enters the mobile number linked to MB WAY (Portuguese numbers, or the international 351#912345678 format), filled in with the billing phone, and approves the payment in the app. Only a masked number is kept with the order.

Credit Card: payment on the ifthenpay card page, confirmed by the signed return (HMAC-SHA256 with your Credit Card key) or by the callback. The order e-mail is sent only after the payment is confirmed.

Protected callbacks: callbacks are accepted only with your anti-phishing key, which the module generates. A forged request never changes an order.

Amount check: the paid amount is checked to the cent against the order total. A different amount puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No double processing: repeated callbacks and returns change nothing: one invoice, one note. A payment for a cancelled order is noted for your review, and cancelled or refunded orders are never reopened.

Test mode and order status: Credit Card and Multibanco use the ifthenpay sandbox in test mode. After payment the order becomes Processing or Complete.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the callback URL and the anti-phishing key shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, an ifthenpay payment history on the order page and an optional log without keys, e-mails or phone numbers.

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with cURL. An ifthenpay account with the key of the chosen method and the callback activated by ifthenpay. Orders in euros (EUR). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
