VibeFox dLocal for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox dLocal Payment adds dLocal Go, the self-service product of dLocal, to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses dLocal Go at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer is sent to the dLocal Go payment page and pays there with a local method of their country: cards, bank transfers, cash vouchers or wallets. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after dLocal Go confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores selling to Latin America, Africa and Asia that have a dLocal Go account. The module takes one-time payments only. It has no card form on your site, no saved cards, no subscriptions and no separate authorize and capture, it does not work with the enterprise dLocal Payments API (X-Login / X-Trans-Key credentials), and it is not offered for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

dLocal Go payment page: a payment is created for the order total in the order currency and the customer's country. Amounts follow the decimals of the currency, for example whole amounts for CLP and PYG. The notification URLs are sent with every payment and refund, so nothing has to be configured in the dLocal Go dashboard.

Paid only when dLocal Go confirms: payment notifications are checked by their signature, and the status, amount and currency are always read again from the dLocal Go API. The status is also checked when the customer returns. The invoice carries the dLocal payment ID as the transaction ID.

Amount and currency check: a payment that does not match the order puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice. The actual payment can be refunded from the order page.

No double processing: repeated notifications and returns never invoice an order twice, and a later failed status never downgrades a paid order. A declined, expired or abandoned payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds from the invoice, in the amount and currency dLocal Go charged and in the environment of the payment. A full refund closes the order. The final refund status from dLocal Go is added to the order notes.

Sandbox and production: separate API key and secret for each environment. Notifications and refunds of a payment always use the credentials of its own environment.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted credentials, the notification URLs shown on the page, a default country, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, optional auto-complete of paid orders and a log without credentials. The admin order page shows the dLocal Go transaction, status, amount and mode.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the curl and json extensions. A dLocal Go account with an API key and API secret. A store reachable from the internet, with HTTPS in production. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
