VibeFox Mercado Envios for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Mercado Envios adds a Mercado Envios shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce for stores in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. It shows a live rate from the Mercado Envios calculator of your Mercado Pago account at the shipping step of checkout. Prices per country and weight are used when there is no live rate.

It suits stores that sell with Mercado Pago and have Mercado Envios enabled for their account. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, print labels or track parcels, it shows one price (the cheapest option) rather than a choice between all options, and it has no pickup point selector.

Key features

Live Mercado Envios rates: the cart is sent as one parcel with the destination postcode, weight and cart value, and the cheapest Mercado Envios option is used. The customer sees the service name and the delivery time, for example Mercado Envios - Estándar a domicilio (3 business days).

Argentina, Brazil and Mexico: rates in ARS, BRL or MXN. Postcodes are normalised, and the parcel gets the minimum Mercado Envios size and weight of the country.

Safe currency handling: if the base currency of your store differs from the Mercado Envios currency, set an exchange rate. Without it, live rates are not used and a warning appears after saving, so pesos are never charged as euros or dollars. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.

Prices without live rates: a table of prices per destination country with weight tiers XS to XL, and a fallback cost, per order or per item.

Fast checkout: requests time out after 10 seconds, quotes are cached for 1 hour, and a failed request is not repeated for 5 minutes. The last API error is shown on the settings page.

Service on the order: for orders placed with a live rate, the service name and the estimated delivery time are kept with the order and shown in the Admin order page and on the customer's order page.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the API, prices, availability and advanced options, settings per website, an encrypted access token and a debug log viewer.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Live rates need a Mercado Pago account in Argentina, Brazil or Mexico with Mercado Envios enabled, and its production Access Token. Prices per country work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
